Grass Valley Group, 1972 to 2002: production test technician, then manufacturing supervisor
- Born
- 19 June 1953, Grass Valley, California
Donald and Marilyn's elder son. He drew a number in the draft lottery on 2 February 1972, the last one ever held, and was never called, because nobody from that drawing was: the final induction call went out on 7 December 1972 and the authority to induct expired the following June. Three weeks after the lottery he went into the electronics company that had started in the town in 1959, and he stayed thirty years, through the Tektronix merger of 1974, through the sale that closed in September 1999, and out in 2002. His father dug gold out of the hill and he tested television switchers a mile from it.
